Your numbers should remain yours.

This policy applies to the RooBucks website. RooBucks is an independently operated Australian website maintained by the RooBucks team. It does not cover websites that RooBucks links to.

RooBucks is currently a pre-launch service. The operator's complete public contact details and a monitored privacy inbox must be confirmed before public launch.

Calculator inputs and results are processed in your browser. RooBucks does not currently receive or store those values on a RooBucks server. You do not need an account to use the calculators.

Calculator inputs may reveal sensitive details about your finances even when they are not linked to your name. Avoid entering information that a calculator does not ask for, especially on a shared or managed device.

RooBucks uses local browser storage to remember your light or dark theme and the inputs used in the Pay, Pay Rise, HECS/HELP, Superannuation, Retirement, Savings, Mortgage and Net Worth calculators. It also caches one basket of currency reference rates for 24 hours. This information stays in that browser unless you clear its site data or the browser or device removes it.

Local browser storage is not sent to RooBucks merely because it is saved. Anyone who can access your browser profile may be able to view it. Use your browser settings to clear RooBucks site data when using a shared device.

RooBucks does not currently set first-party cookies. No consent banner is shown because analytics, advertising and other non-essential cookie tools have not been enabled. This policy and any required controls will be updated before such a tool is introduced.

Like most websites, the infrastructure that delivers RooBucks may automatically process technical request information such as an IP address, browser and device details, requested page, date and time, referring page, and security or diagnostic events. This information may be needed to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and diagnose faults.

Production hosting has not yet been finalised. RooBucks must update this section before public launch with the hosting provider, applicable log retention and any likely overseas processing locations. RooBucks does not currently combine hosting data with calculator inputs.

The Currency Converter requests an AUD-based reference-rate basket from the Frankfurter public API. Your browser makes that request directly. The amount and currencies you enter are not included in it; conversion is performed locally after the rate basket arrives.

Frankfurter states that its API does not retain personal data, IP addresses or request URLs and that it uses Cloudflare for caching, security and aggregate traffic statistics. The connection may still be processed through infrastructure outside Australia. Precise processing countries have not been confirmed.

RooBucks also links to official sources and other external websites. Visiting those sites sends a request from your browser and is governed by the destination's privacy practices.

RooBucks does not currently operate an online contact form or monitored support inbox. The address shown on the Contact page is an explicitly labelled pre-launch placeholder and cannot receive mail.

When a real inbox is introduced, RooBucks may receive the name, email address, message and supporting information you choose to provide. That information will be used to answer the enquiry, investigate an issue and maintain a correction record. Do not send tax file numbers, account credentials, identity documents or detailed personal financial records. Retention and deletion arrangements will be added before the inbox opens.

RooBucks does not currently sell personal information, use it for direct marketing or build advertising profiles. It has no analytics or error monitoring provider enabled. Technical information handled by hosting infrastructure and the currency-rate request described above are the current third-party data flows.

Information may also be used or disclosed where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect the security and integrity of RooBucks and its users. Any future analytics, advertising, affiliate, account, newsletter or error-monitoring service will require a review and update of this policy before it is enabled.

RooBucks cannot access or correct calculator values stored only in your browser. You control those values through the calculator and your browser's site-data settings.

Once the monitored support address is active, you may use it to ask whether RooBucks holds personal information about you, request access or correction, or make a privacy complaint. RooBucks will aim to acknowledge a privacy request within five business days, may need to verify your identity, and will explain the outcome within a reasonable period.

If applicable to your circumstances, information about Australian privacy rights and complaints is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Until the inbox is active, the Contact page identifies this pre-launch limitation.

This policy will be reviewed when RooBucks changes how it handles data, and at least before adding analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking, accounts, newsletters, saved cloud data, contact forms or error monitoring. Material updates will be published here with a new date.

This policy describes current practices but has not yet received external legal review. Appropriate professional review remains a launch-readiness task.
