Overlapping rent = old weekly rent ÷ 7 × overlap days. New-home rent is your ordinary housing cost, so it is not added to moving expenses.
Upfront cash = moving expenses + new bond + new weekly rent × weeks in advance − any old bond refund available before payments are due. We assume all moving expenses need funding during the move.
Bond is money held that may be returned; advance rent pays for future housing. Neither is an extra moving expense. Old bond deductions are not automatically counted as moving expenses: add any move-related charges under other costs, without counting cleaning twice.
