Leave Calculator
Plan annual, long service and other leave together, including work changes, future bookings, milestones and final-pay estimates.
Employment and forecast
These settings drive every balance. Use the arrangement section below for changes over time.
The NSW state-law preset uses 0.87 weeks of long service leave accrual per year and a standard access milestone of 10 years.
Leave balances
Forecast multiple balances together. All accrual rates remain editable.
Working pattern and public holidays
Bookings only charge selected working days. Add public holidays or rostered days off that should be skipped.
Changes to employment
Add part-time periods, unpaid leave or service breaks. Outside these periods, your usual weekly hours apply.
No changes added.
Planned leave
Enter a date range. Weekends, unselected work days and your excluded dates are not charged.
No leave planned.
Targets and termination
Optional termination estimate
Enter a date and ordinary hourly rate to estimate final leave payments. Tax, notice, redundancy and other final-pay items are not included.
Your projected balances
Enter your service, balance and projection dates and working hours to see your forecast.
Important assumptions
Forecast accrual is continuous and uses the rates you entered. Employment changes replace usual weekly hours for their date range; the accrual percentage can pause or reduce all balances, while “counts as service” separately controls the long service milestone.
Long service leave coverage, service rules, eligibility and pro-rata payouts vary. Confirm the applicable law or instrument with your payroll team, union or regulator. See the Fair Work Ombudsman long service leave guide and final pay guidance.
The termination result is an estimate before tax, not payroll or legal advice. Personal/carer’s leave is normally not paid out; other balances depend on the applicable terms.
